Artist Statement​

​

       I am Suli Sirinma Khumnonoi, a painter and multidisciplinary artist who captures the simple, adorable joys of life. My creative heart beats at the core of "Gigi & Friends," an original IP series that translates life's little moments into a perspective that is accessible and welcoming to everyone.

      My inspiration is drawn from the lived experiences that surround me, centered around my beloved companions: Gigi, my cat, whose quiet intimacy anchors my world; Little Melon, my neighbor’s dog, whose playful, unpredictable energy brings humor; and Lotto, the mouse who represents my circle of friends. By portraying my characters as a collective of mice like Lotto, I reflect a vibrant, large scale society where individuals thrive through mutual support and deep interdependence, mirroring the very connections that define our own lives.

     Aesthetically, I bridge the gap between history and modernity. I am deeply captivated by the fluid, elastic lines of 1920s–30s "Rubber Hose" animation, which I fuse with the bold, high contrast energy of contemporary Pop Art. This signature style allows me to translate personal, fleeting moments into a visual language that is both nostalgic and universally accessible.

By treating my characters as entities that transcend the canvas, I am committed to a long-term strategic vision of brand development and professional licensing. Through my work, I invite you into a world seen through the lens of Suli.land—a space where warmth, humor, and the strength of social unity come to life, inviting the global audience to find their own reflection in the collective joy of my characters.
